7lb 0oz Sea Trout, caught from 'The Slipway' at Straumen, Trondheimsfjord, whislt staying at Skarnsundet Fjordcentre.
The areas around Straumen throw up a good number of Sea Trout. They can be had spinning all the way from 'Stu's Point' to the Island that is sisutated halfway between Straumen and Hylla on the coastal road. Strangely, the larger specimens also have a habit of showing over slack water to large bottom baits - this particular one was caught on a whole mackerel presented on a pair of 5/0 big mouths!Phill Dale, of Skarnsundet Fjordcentre had reccomended trying a more substantial bait over slack for the passing large Cod. Rather happy with having landed this in place of a Cod though!
